Waterfalls Wednesdays

Rising Tide Swing

Matt Davis and Desirae Vasquez of Rising Tide Swing

Matt Davis & Desirae Vasquez

Matt and Desirae are the heart and soul of our Waterfalls Wednesdays. As professional West Coast Swing competitors, coaches, and community builders based in the Boston area, they bring energy, expertise, and a genuine passion for growing dancers at every level.

Every Wednesday night they lead two classes — an all-levels beginner class and an intermediate/advanced class — followed by social dancing. Whether you're learning your first sugar push or polishing competition technique, Matt and Desirae create a supportive, inspiring environment that keeps dancers coming back week after week.

They also offer private lessons for those looking to accelerate their progress.

Frequent Guest Instructors

Dancing Feats WCS

A Boston-area organization dedicated to making West Coast Swing accessible to dancers from all backgrounds. They frequently provide instruction at First on the Floor events.

Maxwell Thew of Dancing Feats WCS

Maxwell Thew

A Washington state native who has called Boston home since 2019, Maxwell is a band teacher by trade — bringing a nuanced perspective to how the dance is taught and the music that is played. He's a devoted social dancer committed to developing quality social dancing experiences within the community.

Alli Reese of Dancing Feats WCS

Alli Reese

Alli discovered West Coast Swing nearly a decade ago through a class at Lesley University. She serves the community as a teacher, DJ, and organizer, and works as a mental health clinician outside of dance. Her passion for increasing accessibility drives everything Dancing Feats does.
